Hobart's Youth Revolution

Hobart rocked to the sounds of sweet harmony as the first Australian Youth Chorus and Quartet Festival came to town in September 2009. Five choruses and seven quartets entertained enthusiastic audiences at the Theatre Royal in Hobart and proved that young Barbershop singers have the depth of talent, enthusiasm and skills to produce great A Cappella singing.

Congratulations to all the youth groups who participated and particular mention goes to Perth who produced the winning quartet and chorus in the youth category and demonstrated that the youth revolution is here to stay! With the success of the youth groups, 2010 is shaping up to be an exciting year for young Barbershop singers and there is a great event schedule coming your way…keep checking the website for details of workshops, news and competitions.
