Enter your Youth singing group in the Australian Youth Chorus Festival
Enter your youth or school Quartet and Choir/Chorus in the Australian Youth Chorus and Quartet Festival ...with $4,500 prize money on offer. All you need to do is sing!!!
This year, the National Convention of the Australian Association of Men Barbershop Singers (AAMBS) is being held in Hobart. Over 800 delegates and an audience of more than 2500 enthusiasts attend this prestigious event.
In addition to the adult chorus and quartet competitions which are part of the convention, there is a dedicated Australian Youth Chorus Festival to kick off the event. The competition will be held on Thursday 24 September 2009 at the Theatre Royal in Hobart.
What can you win?
Quartet: First prize is $1000, second is $600 and $400 to third place.
Chorus: First prize is $1000, second is $750 and $500 to third place.
School: Based Quartets and Choruses will receive special prizes
Groups entering the competition will receive:
- Free teaching materials and support.
- State and national exposure for the winning quartets.
- Feedback from a panel of Australasian and international judges.
- Opportunity to share in a total of $4,250 in prize money.
Schools entering the competition will receive:

Each participant will receive music and part predominate learning tracks for 2 songs to be sung in a massed youth chorus at the end of the festival
